The Personalized Hair Growth Genetics Profile is the best way to determine an optimal and genetically personalized hair re-growth treatment protocol. This test examines variations in key genes involved with response to different hair growth treatment options.
Hair loss is a common concern with many underlying causes. Many options exist for successful hair regrowth treatment, with minoxidil-based formulas being the most common recommendation. However, minoxidil fails to work effectively for many individuals, due to genetic differences in hair follicle growth pathways.
With genetic testing, individuals can avoid wasting time and money on ineffective treatment strategies and obtain information on formulas with a high probability of success, customized to their personal genetic uniqueness.
This panel tests variants in the following genes and provides personalized treatment recommendations based on the unique combination of variants:
- GPR44 (corresponds with activity of PGD2 receptors)

The results report for this test includes customized prescriptions (compounded Rx formulas) that can be taken to your personal physician or your dermatologist for potential sign-off. Some doctors will readily sign off on customized prescriptions as they see they are based on scientific evidence, however other doctors may not. If you don’t have a doctor that can sign off on the recommended prescription options, GX Sciences also works with a telemedicine physician network that can likely approve the suggested prescriptions for an additional fee paid directly to the telemedicine company (not Life Extension). Their telemedicine doctors are familiar with this unique testing. Life Extension does NOT sign off on the prescriptions. You must seek sign-off from a licensed provider.
